What does it take to be an ICT student?

            

            It is undeniable that we are now in a modern world and most advanced technology is now invading the human race. Gadgets, one of the products of technology surely make one’s life better and we, people are the one getting the benefits of it. Without those skilful inventors who has perseverance and who is not afraid to commit error our world did a lot change compared to the past generations.

            Computer is one of the proofs of fast development in terms of technology. It is an electronic device that can store and arrange large amounts of information. This machine will surely make work a lot easier. Definitely it greatly affects the life of people throughout the world.

            With the growth of science and technology computers really contributed a lot on it. As we are living in the computer world, it seems the way of living have evolve into a more convenient way. It really makes life easier with the different office workplace and environment. The significance of computer in manipulation of some devices and uploading of records is very useful to the people in a certain organization. With the use of the computer, less paper work is needed. Thus, leading to a better output of work.

Being an ICT student, I’ve learned a lot with computers especially the Internet. This helped me upgrade my knowledge and improved my capabilities as a student. It takes a student an eagerness to learn to be an ICT student. A student with determination to learn and to discover new world inside the technology is all it takes. With this, you will really uplift your knowledge and ready to face the fast innovation of technology in this world.

My Dream, My Future

                “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” 

One thing for sure that may keep us in moving forward is our dream. Everyone has their own ambition in life it may be big or small whether you’re rich or poor that doesn’t matter what count is who will be you after achieving it. In achieving it, you may experience things you never imagined and a lot of sacrifices, hard works and obstacle may be in your way. But as long as you have the determination in achieving it, you can always find the path or method in reaching it.

Life is full of uncertainties and may come anytime or anywhere whether you like it or not. These problems are our challenges in life that we have to surpass for us to be a better one. These may take our plans in life ruined but still God’s plans are better than ours. Do not blame God for not having what you wanted to be. Instead of mumbling did you ever think that what if God is after is your own safety? Did you ever think that what if that the thing you always wanted to have can cause harm to you? Did you ever wonder that what if God just saved you and pulled you away from any accident? He will always be on your side and continue to shower you blessing and will take care of you along your path in achieving your goal in life. Remember God’s plans are always and will always be the best among the rest.

Kannawidan: The Ilocos Festival

                             

Ilocos Sur especially Vigan is branded as the Heart of Ilocandia by the Philippine Historical Committee and used to celebrate Kannawidan. It is known to be an annual festival that aims to create awareness on the preservation of the province’ rich culture heritage, practices and traditions and a showcase of different agriculture and industry products of the province. This years marks the province’s 193^rd based on the Royal Decree dated February 2, 1818 separating Ilocos Sur from Ilocos Norte. Prior to this date, the stretch of Bangui inIlocos Norte down to La Union is called Ylocos which is a term to refer to the coastal inhabitants. It literally meant “from the lowlands.”

There was the tribal performance of the cultural communities of Ilocos Sur which is so fascinating. They displayed their talents as well as their indigenous costumes. They also showcased the products of the province sush as longanisa, bagnet, garlic, bibingkia and many other foods including handicrafts. Traditional games were played. There were Sarsuela and Komedya Ilocana which were shown and Choir competition was also held. A battle of brains and beauty was witnessed during the Saniata ti Ilocos Sur pageant. Art exhibitions and on the spot painting was done. The Ilocandia Photographic Society put up its photography exhibit at the Archbishops Palace where you can see the beauty of Ilocos Sur.

It's About To End

3^rd Grading in our ICT IV is about to end. Another accomplishment has been done during these days. A total of 4 posts have been made. During our 3^rd Grading we have learned a lot like adding background colors, adding background images, HTML images, and HTML links.

These helped us a lot especially in making our web pages. We learned that in adding background color, we must follow a format and a color code to be place in order that the color will appear. The same as in adding background images you must follow also a format. Unlike in HTML images, you must know the image tag and source tag, the alt attribute, aligning images and adjusting sizes of images. The last exercise that has been done during our 3rd Grading was the HTML Links that helps us to link another document on the web. For that you can create a better web page.

3rd Grading was more fun for me compared to the previous gradings because I have joined more activities during these days. Those experiences helped me in gaining more self-confidence even it is just a little. I will continue to cherish every moment and remaining days in our school and make it memorable and most unforgettable memories in my life

New Year, New Me

Time flies so fast, again another year to start and another life to begin. Another me, another you and as the clock strikes, change is happening. As they said, have fun. Enjoy every second of your life and never waste your time. Do what you can do today and not tomorrow because time is very valuable. You will never know what may happen in your way. Never regret every a scene of your life as it may remind you to keep moving. Just remember to put God in the center and everything will come together.

2012 is said to be the Year of the Dragon. And according to the Chinese Astrology, the year I was born is said to be Year of the Pig and it is said to be luck this year. Even though I’m not that one who will believe immediately for what others say or believe, still I’m very happy to hear that. For this year, I will cherish every moment of my life as I reaches my goal. “Where there’s a will, there’s a way, my favorite saying that reminds me to keep going and never surrender. If you have the determination to do something, you can always find the path or method to do it.

I hope that this year will be better and more exciting. As I will also graduate this year, I want to cherish every second of my high school life and make every day a memorable and unforgettable. To all my friends, I thank you for being a part of my 2011 and I hope you will be joining me again in my journey this year. 

Our Mother Tongue Must Keep In Our Mind

Each country has their own trait, feelings and cultures.  And language is the only one who can pronounce or speak it. It is a system of communication that enables us to cooperate. We also use it in order for us to express ourselves and to manipulate objects in our environment. Without it, everything would be meaningless and there will be no progress going in our society.

We may encounter things in our life that we have to learn and sometimes we forgot what we have learned in the past. But one thing in the past for sure we can never forget would be our mother tongue. With this, we learned to communicate to our family and relatives. Without it, we do not have now what we call our childhood friends. Without it, we are nothing. We learned a lot through this so make it as important as everything else.  Never be shy when you speak your own language as you go to different places, instead teach them and share.

As time goes by, we may encounter different situations in our life. Sometimes, these situations may lead us to feel alone and weak. But nevertheless, there’s still a hope and we manage to overcome this in sharing our feelings to others. These could only possible with the use of our language, our mother tongue which has been there for us even when we are still babies. It will forever be in our mind and never be forgotten until such the time that we take our last breathe.

Merry Christmas!

Everyone is busy preparing decorations, gifts and foods. No one wants to miss this very rare occasion. Malls are almost full of people buying various gifts to be given to their friends and love ones. Christmas Day, the most anticipated occasion comes to be one of the most awaiting of all the people in a year. It is said to be the birth of Jesus Christ celebrated in every 25^th of December.

But, what was once a time to be celebrated the birth of a savior has somehow turned into a season of stress, traffic jams, and shopping lists. Many of us are left with presents to return, looming debt that will take months to pay off. None of us wanted Christmas to turn like this so why not spend less and give more which is the true essence of Christmas.

The true essence of Christmas relies not on the gifts which command to spend more but on the love and unity that each of us should build. Spend less on gifts and more on relationships.

Climate Change

“That everyone must held accountable for their actions” a line which I first heard in the movie, Law Abiding Citizen which I considered to be related to the Climate Change that we are now facing as the most terrifying crisis in the whole world that we, the people made it exist is also the one who is responsible to it and now the cause of death of every single person even the innocent ones.

Global Warming is the increase of Earth's average surface temperature due to effect of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation, which trap heat that would otherwise escape from Earth. This is a type of greenhouse effect. The Earth's climate is changing, and changing at a rate that has exceeded most scientific forecasts. Some families and communities have already started to suffer from the negative side of climate change, forced to leave their homes in search of a new beginning.

Climate change is changing our economy, health and communities in diverse ways. Many people are now making a move to do something to make our future better and to save humanity in danger that the Global Warming may cause. They are now begging for the cooperation of the human race to fight against the primary cause of death, Global Warming. This make take a long time but still can save many lives of people and will help to build again the dreams of every people especially the kids to have a better place to live in, fresher air to breathe in and a place called paradise.
